Aki is a jazz collective from Antwerp. At the core of there music you will find sober melodies and atmospheric sounds. Trough improvisation they create an unique atmosphere that lets you drift away on the warmth and melancholy of the music. Ranging from cinematic landscapes, jazz and minimalism. Aki's music won't leave you untouched.

In his solo work, Willem Heylen plays music that moves between jazz, folk, and free music, blending short songs, improvisations, and textures. Influences from guitarists such as Ralph Towner, Lenny Breau, and Robbie Basho can be heard. The folk songs of artists like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell also serve as inspiration for the music.

Under the name “Alver,” flutist Nele Vernaillen composes jazz that settles between warm melodies and fresh tonal colors, improvisation and percussive grooves. The compositions shift between atmospheric and intimate, energetic and dynamic; the music unfolds like small stories without words.

LaPiratesse is the performance band of creative all-rounder Inez Wolters. She approaches her songs as visual live clips and uses the stage to protest and activate ourselves. In every song she transforms into a different character with a different extravagant outfit. You will be taken along her thoughts, questions and dreams about now and tomorrow.

OrBit is an experimental instrumental duo. Using a combination of electronic and acoustic instruments they explore the musical world of soundscape, texture and groove. 

Aardpeer is an instrumental dub-jazz band that plays danceable musis, full of improvisation and experiment. 

Peperkoek is an intimate music theatre performance in which a poetic relection of life presents itself. An ode to the child that lives in each of us. The artists look for a symbiosis of music and words, sometimes by letting them complement each other, then again by letting them merge with each other.

In this Belgian-Dutch collective Clocks&Clouds, saxophonist/composer Lennert Baerts (BE) brings together eight musicians who are very close to his heart. In addition to his regular companions Floris Kappeyne (NL), Tijs Klaassen (NL) and Jesse Dockx (BE) (who also represent the band Anti-Panopticon), the ensemble is expanded with four musicians who have already achieved great heights in the European music world. Together with alto saxophonist Mo Van Der Does (NL) and trumpeter Cedric De Lat (BE), Baerts forms a very close-knit and colorful wind section. To counterbalance this horn section, the rhythm section is expanded by not one but two guitarists: Roeland Celis (BE) and Willem Heylen (BE).

Cinema Paradiso creates music in which tranquility, musical liberty and playfulness presents itself. Inspired by the music of Paul Motian the trio explores his repertoire combined with improvisations and own compostions.

The Rising Moon is een improvisational collective.Slowly evolving atmospheric soundscapes and subtle textures are the core of the improvisations. To fully experience this musical journey, the ensemble experiments with the positioning of audience-artist. The artists can move through the space and are among the audience. An experience where the listening experience is the central focus.

If you didn't know better you would think KRANKk came from urban UK. Their mix of grimey basslines, burial-inspired atmospheres and futuristic garage and drum and bass will take you back to the British musical underground.

SARGAM is an instrumental band from Antwerp. They mix rock with influences from jazz, Indian music and hip-hop into a virtuoso and compelling unity.

Games & Motifs is a improvisation collective founded by guitarist Willem Heylen and drummer Anke Verslype. Joined by different artists they explore the world of free improvisation, motifs en musical games. They combine this into a diverse en colourful repertoire that's driven by musical interaction en experiment.
